At present, the key livelihood project of our county - the hub dam of the Laoxi Water Source Project - has entered the critical sprint stage.
At the construction site, the reporter saw that workers were installing concrete pouring formwork on the top of the dam using hoisting vehicles. The main parts such as the water intake tower and culvert were undergoing final work. The entire construction site was busy but orderly. Zeng Lingbo, the production manager of the Laoxi Water Source Project, told reporters that to ensure the progress and quality of the project, the construction team adopted a "two-shift rotation" operation mode, with human-machine collaboration, strictly controlling each process such as formwork installation and concrete pouring, and working at full capacity under the premise of ensuring the dual hard indicators of safety and quality.
Zeng Lingbo, the production manager of the Laoxi Water Source Project, said, "The dam body construction has reached the 374.2 elevation, and there is still a 4.7-meter gap to reach the top of the dam." At present, the construction method of two shifts for workers is adopted to ensure the progress of the dam construction. The main body of the dam is planned to complete the pouring of the concrete on the dam top by early August.
It is understood that the hub dam of the Laoxi Water Source Project is divided into non-overflow dam sections on the left and right banks and overflow dam sections, and is composed of the main dam, water diversion gates, flood discharge and sand flushing gates, etc. The elevation of the dam's foundation surface is 323 meters (321 meters for the upstream and downstream tooth grooves), the dam height is 55.2 meters, the total length is 134 meters, and the top width is 6 meters.
After the project is completed, it will ensure that the high-quality water source of Laoxi Mountain can be guaranteed when it comes and used during droughts, meeting the people's demand for "drinking mountain spring water throughout the year", greatly improving the seasonal water shortage problem in Fuchuan County and enhancing the water supply guarantee capacity of the county and surrounding towns.
