What kind of sparks will be ignited when traditional agriculture is equipped with the wings of technology? The modern facility vegetable industrial park in Chaoyang Village, Fuyang Town, has provided a vivid answer. Here, a single mobile phone can manage thousands of acres of greenhouses. Technological empowerment is making agriculture smarter and more efficient, and also filling farmers' wallets.
Recently, the modern facility vegetable industrial park in Chaoyang Village, Fuyang Town, has witnessed its first harvest. On rows of neatly arranged vegetable racks, emerald green cucumbers are hanging all over the branches, growing vigorously. Workers are picking and sorting the ripe cucumbers, presenting a busy scene.
Wang Guotao, the person in charge of the modern facility vegetable industry in Chaoyang Village, Fuyang Town, said, "The current harvest cycle of cucumbers is expected to be one to one and a half months." After the harvest is completed, we will immediately launch the next round of planting plans. Based on an estimate of 20 mu of greenhouses with an output of 30,000 jin per mu, the income from one greenhouse is approximately 1.2 to 1.5 million yuan.
Behind the bountiful harvest lies the abundant power of science and technology. In this park, growing vegetables no longer relies solely on experience but more on "fingertips". The management of greenhouses in the park utilizes Internet of Things (iot) technology, enabling multiple greenhouses to be "cloud-managed" with just one mobile phone. In the greenhouses, V-shaped frame soilless cultivation is also adopted, combined with intelligent water and fertilizer integration technology, to achieve precise supply and significantly improve the utilization rate of resources. The accompanying intelligent ventilation system dynamically adjusts environmental parameters according to the needs of crops to ensure the best growth conditions. Meanwhile, by adopting green energy technologies such as automatic supplementary lighting and waste heat recovery, energy is saved by 30% compared with traditional greenhouses, and the carbon footprint per unit crop is reduced by 60%, promoting the low-carbon development of agriculture.
When it comes to the application of technology in the park, Wang Guotao introduced, "At present, we have achieved Internet of Things management. Through the mobile phone background, we can view the data of the weather station, the data of water and fertilizer integration, and the status of each greenhouse in real time." The ventilation, irrigation and other systems can all be remotely controlled via mobile phones, achieving an efficient operation mode where one mobile phone can manage multiple greenhouses.
Technology empowerment not only boosts agricultural efficiency but also boosts farmers' income. At present, the park has driven over a hundred farmers to find employment nearby, with an average annual increase of more than 30,000 yuan per person. Modern agriculture not only fills farmers' "pockets", but also turns them into new-type professional farmers who master new technologies. From "facing the soil" to "managing with fingertips", and from "relying on the weather for a living" to "data-driven farming", Fuchuan's path towards smart agriculture is getting wider and wider. At present, over 3,000 mu of facility vegetable greenhouses have been built in the county, and two leading enterprises have been introduced. A development model of "company + base + farmers" has been established, injecting strong impetus into the agricultural industry development of Fuchuan.
